CTF Writeup | My Chemical Romance

This is a writeup for the My Chemical Romance CTF challenge from n00bzCTF. I participated in this competition with the bER4bb1t$ CTF team which was a lot of fun.

From the challenge description we get two important pieces of information:

1. The password is 8 characters or longer
2. It has something to do with chemistry

One obvious thing that comes to mind is the periodic table of elements. Now we just have to split the numbers and find the corresponding elements for the atomic numbers:

Splits into:

Which gives us ArErOPLaNe. Now we remove the extra character, convert it to lowercase and put n00bz{} around it.
